I'm aware of this year's annual Kumbh Mela festival being extra-controversial in the light of many calls for it to have been cancelled on the very reasonable grounds of it likely to have been or, rather, dead-cert to be a super-spreader of Covid. Though it did go ahead, any calamitous after-effects are yet to be assessed, if indeed they ever will be.
Because of that particular black cloud hanging over this year's event, all the pictures I show in this post are from previous years. That was what I intend, anyway.............

As far as I know, these Naga Sadhus come out to assemble in their mind-crushing numbers to parade their nakedness, only at the time of Kumbh Mala where, for those like me who are tirelessly enthralled at the glorious spectacle of thousands on thousands of mature, mostly hairy men - all entirely naked or very nearly so (to reflect renunciation of all their possessions), some of whom cover themselves in ash and some, a minority I believe, are castrated, thus taking to an extreme their renunciation of sexual acts and even desires.
But as for the majority of them, if by some luck I was allowed to mingle with them, I'd feel I'd really entered Paradise - and, one step further, to be part of these naked hordes who'd be directed and ushered about by a vast army of Indian policemen - the legendary (not always in a positive sense) 'men in khaki'. If my heart hadn't given up by then I'd pretend to faint near a young, good-looking m.i.k., collapsing to the ground so that he'd give me the 'kiss of life' and cradle me in those strong, khaki-shirted arms of his. But I'd insist that he'd have to be youngish with a nice body ideally a black-bearded, turbanned Sikh, not some older, pot-bellied specimen stinking of garlic who'd more than likely turn my stomach. 😄

One of the most popular 'tricks' some of these Sadhus perform is to wrap their cocks around a stick and to get another of their 'disciples' to actually stand on the stick, supporting him in the air. How it's achieved I have no idea............
